Indian students opting for their studies abroad can now breathe freely. The UK Government has recently approved Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin. That means no quarantine for Indian students once they enter the country. This decision will be implemented in the UK from 4am, November 22. It comes after WHO (World Health Organisation) gave Covaxin it’s nod of approval.
Last month, the UK Government added Covishield to its list of approved vaccines. With Covaxin on board, Indian students can have a smooth study abroad journey.
How is No Quarantine for Indian Students Beneficial
No quarantine for Indian students will help them to reduce travel expenses. Before this, they had to spend a lump sum on hotel costs the minute they arrived in the UK. With this travel relaxation, they will be able to settle down in their accommodation with ease. The UK Government has also relaxed travel rules for those under 18. They will now have to take just one test on arrival. No quarantine for Indian students has been a fresh relief for all those applying to institutes abroad for the January intake.
Apart from the UK, Australia and USA too have approved Covaxin. No quarantine for Indian students will be necessary here as well. This will have a crucial impact on international students and strengthen intercontinental ties.
