(Reuters) – The U.S. govt has ordered 300 million doses of a doable COVID-19 virus being developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford College and hopes first doses would be made available by October, the Department of Health and Human Providers said on Thursday.
“This contract with AstraZeneca is a first-rate milestone in Operation Warp Tempo’s work toward a get, effective, widely available vaccine by 2021,” HHS Secretary Alex Azar said in an announcement.
